  Condo 1122 was spacious and comfortable. It was equipped with everything needed for a wonderful vacation. The condo's location of gulf front was perfect! The Sanibel Moorings team did a fantastic job of communicating details for check-in, check-out and any other information needed. Shout out to Kari, Andi and Bill! I loved the Sanibel Sea School walk on the beach experience and learned a lot about shells and other gulf water information. (Thank you Jordan) We appreciated the beach chairs provided in the condo and having the beach umbrellas available on the beach. The plants and trees are definitely coming back on the property and you can tell they are working hard to get the grounds back into pre-hurricane condition. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The Sunday Sanibel Farmers Market and the Tuesday Farmers Market on Captiva were great. We had dinner at Doc Ford's on Sanibel and cake from Boob's on Captiva. The cruise to Cabbage Key for lunch was wonderful. A cheeseburger in paradise! Speaking of cheeseburgers, don't pass up having a cheeseburger at the American Legion on Sanibel. It was really good. The grouper sandwich at the Sanibel Grill is also good. Visiting the Sanibel Historical Museum and Village, CROW, Seashell Museum and the Ding Darling Drive are great places to visit. MacIntosh Books, On Island, Tower Gallery and so many other amazing stores! The beach is ever changing with tide pools and millions, yes, millions of shells. Sanibel is my happy place!!

  Our recent stay at Sanibel Moorings was nothing short of memorable and relaxing. This time, we brought along a friend who had never been to the island before—and she was instantly impressed by everything the resort had to offer. The beaches were our favorite part: clean, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful. We were treated to stunning sunrises and sunsets each day, and we captured countless photos to remember it all.
  While the shelling wasn’t quite as abundant as usual, it didn’t dampen our spirits. The peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty made for a wonderful escape.   Cockroaches- tons of them and they were huge. The size of 50 cent pieces. I killed at least 10 and they were coming from the locked cabinets. No one would remedy the situation and they acted like it was nothing. I think the condos were all empty besides us and they decided to work on the unit next to us. My baby could not nap because of the banging and every time we left the unit we had to pass in a cloud of cigarette smoke because of the construction workers smoking by our door!! It was the worst experience and I’ve always loved the Moorings. We will never stay here again. Carpet staines all over, couch was stained yellow with blood stains. Beds felt like the would break every time you would go to lay down or get up. I was so disappointed and heartbroken with the unit this year.

  Really great stay at the Moorings. Was my 4th time at the property. First since the hurricane. First time with our 2 and 1 year olds. Property looked great, of course still work in progress as anticipated. Staff are all tremendous. Really good people and easy stay. Highly recommend.

  We really enjoyed this condo. The staff were helpful and the condo was well equipped and beautiful.
  
  We feel that the people who are working on reconstruction could be asked to their personal vehicle furthest away from the condo and leave spaces for guests open and always available. This is not about vans and trucks containing equipment and supplies. This is about the personal vehicles that take spaces close to beachfront condos. This shows a lack of concern for guests.

  Wonderful. Things are not the same prior to IAN but getting there. The beach was clean and beautiful. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Condo was more than we expected because the veranda was finished. Nothing like waking up in the morning to a view of the ocean and freshly brewed coffee. The splash of the waves, briny ocean breeze and warming sun all combine to make it a serene, calming destination. The luxury of not having to worry about work or daily obligations allowed us to fully relax. Breathtaking Sea views & sunsets · fresh & clean air, relaxing sea breeze – what more could you ask for? Shells! That is what. Sanibel never fails to supply us with a grouping of shells to return home with. Already booked for our spring return.

  We were satisfied ultimately. When we arrived, the balcony was not accessible and we were not notified in advance. Work was interrupted by TS Debbie. Notwithstanding we were entitled to know this in advance of arrival. The manager went above and beyond her responsibilities in assisting us in saving our vehicle from being submerged in water. We appreciated that very much. Generally the customer service folks were very good.

  Our condo was beautiful we stayed in unit 1122 . Bed comfortable unit clean . Only 2 issues the first one was the web site says they close at 6 but they close at 5 pm so we arrived after hours and there is no one to give you directions to your unit nor are there maps of grounds available until you are in your unit. No help when you arrive late and don’t know where you are going cause units numbers are not visible until in are in stairways. So we wondered around in the rain until a guess that was put help us find our room . No big deal forgot about it after we got in room. But one big thing was we rented a gulf views condo but couldn’t use the patio it was lock because not been repaired . But this way not disclosed on the rooms Description, so we were unaware which had we known we probably would have choice a different unit . Because we could not enjoy the view we paid for cause our evenings had to be set in house not hearing the sounds of gulf or the smells , or enjoy our mornings coffe and breakfast on the deck watching the beautiful gulf . That was the biggest disappointment. I think they should disclose this before renting . I understand that they are still recovering, and it is a beautiful place . But I believe it should be shared if you can’t use the whole unit you paid for. But the unit , beach , pool , and grounds are beautiful!!! Need different after hours guess help for late arrivals . Or at least a phone number to call and talk to someone. Even after that I would recommend resort !!

  This condo was absolutely lovely. Very clean, spacious, updated, and had a wonderful view of the ocean/beach. Comfortable beds. We enjoyed the provided beach chairs/umbrellas every day. The grounds were absolutely beautiful as well. Everything we needed for a wonderful trip was provided at the resort. We also rented bikes that were dropped off at the resort and picked up for us. We loved this condo/location so much we have already booked it again for next year and are bringing our children next time!!

  Our unit was a Gulf front 2-bedroom. When visiting Sanibel Moorings in the past, we've learned that we really need a Gulf front unit to appreciate the Gulf breezes and the sounds of the surf throughout the stay--the inner units (somewhat euphemistically named "garden views") simply don't provide the daily sense of actually being at the sea. It's nice to sit on the screen balcony with a book and enjoy the sea birds and the harmony of the seaside. Although such units are rare at Sanibel Moorings and quite expensive to rent, they are the only units we consider.
  
  The unit was reasonably well appointed. The furnishings, however, were tired, worn and frequently stained. The carpet, in particular, needs replacing. When we first arrived, the unit had an odor we tend to associate, from prior unpleasant experiences, with the chemical treatment needed for "pet-friendly" units -- units we have learned to scrupulously avoid (until, I think, this one).
